On Saturday, November 25th, buildings in Sandy Lake were decorated with the large wreaths that were made by Lorrie Lewandoski and donated to the Ukrainian Cultural Heritage Museum. Lorrie is a long time museum member and volunteer.
Doing the work of putting up the wreaths from the backhoe were Josh and Warren Lewandoski, and Warren's son Mike. They were assisted by Leonard Lewandoski (backhoe driver) and Lorrie Lewandoski.
The wreaths were made from donated artificial Christmas trees which were attached to a welded rebar frame, and to which lights and other decorations were added.
Other buildings in the village that receive wreaths are the old Consumer's Co-op building, The Lewandoski Ice Gang Barn and the Senior's Drop In Centre.
